Movie Money Refinanced: Episode XV This past Sunday was a pretty subpar Superbowl. What a shame then that it was also a pretty subpar weekend for movies at the box office. There were no big winners this weekend, but there weren't any big losers either. Just a bevy of middle of the roaders. That said it was a banger week for movie news. The DC Universe had two very big announcements, and the Avengers: Endgame trailer proves that less is in fact more. If that wasn't enough, there's also trailers for 'Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw' (actual title), and an update on the once assumed dead Dark Universe. Enjoy!
Movie Money Refinanced: Episode XIV We're back to podcasting! Has it really been 4 months? Yes it has. 4 Grueling months without Damian and Shawna to breakdown the top 5. Maybe that's why Aquaman made so much money. Don't worry, we won't let that happen again.Well this was the last weekend in January for 2019 and the three big winners of the month continued to perform. Unfortunately that means a newcomer suffered and is the first major bomb of 2019. A year in which I'm sure there will be much much more. We'll be covering that outrightly all year on Movie Money Refinanced.

It's a sad day at DamianMichaelMovies.com. The lovely Shawna Kay Green will no longer be around for Movie Money. We try to deal with the news and somehow gather our strength to talk about the Bumblebee trailer, the Captain Marvel trailer, Joaqin Pheonix' Joker, and the top 5 box office.
ALL KNEEL BEFORE THE POWER OF THE NUN! She needs no introduction since she blasted straight into the top 5 at number 1 this week. The...5th? film in the Conjuring Universe is yet another in the series to open with a dominating position in the box office. It made $53.8M domestically, and worldwide it's made an insane $130M. All on a budget of $22M. That's a success story if I ever saw one, and although reviews haven't been kind to this entry, safe to say 'The Nun' will be content counting the millions she brings, in the weeks to come. At number 2 we have another newbie. Another 'Taken' clone from Luc Besson, this time starring Jennifer Garner as an avatar for vengeance. It brought in $13.4M which coincidentally is it's current rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The film cost $25M to make and has only made $14M worldwide. Moving on from that we have those 'Crazy Rich Asians' getting crazy rich again, trailing behind pepperment by a mere $300k with $13.1M. I don't really need to express just how successful this movie has been again, but this week the film that cost $30M to make, shot up to $164M worldwide so, yeah that sequel is still coming. Number 4 went to 'The Meg', trudging along slowly but surely to that coveted $500M worldwide total. Currently its total is at $492M after bringing in $6M and having its domestic total finally top its…
